Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work alongside the Vietnam Country Managing Director and Senior Management Team to ensure that Company Vietnam delivers from an Academic Operation Perspective to a consistently high standard, thus maximizing business performance.
Manage, lead and monitor directly the Teachers Team & indirectly the PD team to ensure that Company Vietnam Teaching Team is delivering all COMPANY programmers to a consistently high standard, thus maximizing student growth and retention.
1. Academic Department – Management/Leadership
Scheduling: Perform full range of supervisory duties including through scheduling Teachers, Coordinating PD Team & part time teachers to cover class.
Meeting: Host & conduct weekly meetings with Senior Teacher, PD Team, teacher team
Recruitment: Work with PD Team, HR Teacher Recruitment Team to source ideal profile teachers, forecast annual Teacher Recruitment needs and determine strategy to meet both forecasted and un-forecasted needs plus formulate and implement processes to lessen the impact on the wider business during times of short-term and long-term Teacher shortages. Provide back-up recruitment help if/as required.
Academic Operation Services Management: Seek regular feedback from Centre Operations Team to monitor Teacher operation services Quality and engagement. Plan, design and implement processes to improve delivery of services and partnering with Center Manager to resolve problems complained from parents related to
Student’s learning progress.


2. Teacher Recruitment:
Partnering work with HRM/ Recruitment Personal to manage Teacher Recruitments at interview & selection point & co- train with HRM & PD Team for Teacher’s onboarding on Academic Operation Services Management Process & SOP.
Interview suitably qualified and experienced candidates for new Teacher positions
Support the Human Resources Manager(s) in ensuring Teachers fully understand and agree to the terms stated in the Employment Agreement and Employee Handbook


3. Training and Professional Development
Teacher’s Training Overall Management: Providing scheduled class observations in both HQ & FC centers to audit teacher’s teaching quality & discuss with PD team for the continued Teacher’s training development to best fit & address teacher’s skills improvement.
Operation Academic Training Management: Provide operation academic services training to all Senior Teachers, Teachers to ensure student care process is well implemented. Deliver pre-deployment and ongoing Academic Operation training to Center Manager, CSO, Teaching Assistants.
Quality Control on Operation Academic Services: Ensure ongoing Quality Control of Teachers and Teaching Assistants operation academic services to students & parents by conducting quarterly operation academic service hours observations, placement test observation, parent meeting observation, and as/if necessary ‘refresher’ training.

4. Operations Services Providing to Front office Staff:
Act as an advisor to the Operations team on matters concerning ‘Academics services in centers.
Participate front line staff team meetings and Customer Sales and Service Meetings to encourage meaningful and open communication between Teaching and Customer Service Teams in center
Develop strong working partnerships with all Vietnam Business Units to ensure effective cross business communication and synergy.


5. Franchise Management – Academic Support
Visit Franchise Centres on a monthly/ quarterly basis to build and maintain strategic relationships, ensure alignment of pedagogy and curricula, and to monitor Teacher and Teaching Assistants performance quality.
Regularly communicate with FC Academic Manager to ensure COMPANY Teaching & Academic Operation SOP are in alignment with HQ Centers


6. Curriculum Development
Work with PD Team to Identify curriculum ‘gaps’ specific to the Vietnam market and collaborate with the Singapore Academic Team to develop new core and ad-hoc curricula/resources for both ESL and Literacy Tracks, summer course, etc…
In collaboration with the Singapore Headquarters’ Academic (ACAD) Team, develop and deliver additional Teacher training and ongoing Professional Development sessions to facilitate the implementation of new or seasonal curricula and/or pilot programmers
In collaboration with the Singapore Headquarters’ Academic (ACAD) Team, support regional academic needs including Teacher training and/or observations in nonVietnam markets


7. Academic Marketing & Sales Support
Assisting in organizing and delivering COMPANY promotional events, roadshows, exhibitions and seminars for brand awareness.
Act as Brand Ambassador for COMPANY Sales & Marketing Event in center & outside Center
Supporting Center’s Sales & Marketing Activities

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university (required)
Internationally recognised teaching certification (e.g. DELTA, CELTA, TESOL, TEFL) (required)
Master’s degree or equivalent in Education Management, Human Resources or Business (advantageous)
At least 5 years’ teaching and/or training experience in the ESL sector (required)
Excellent command of the English language
Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
Confidence in public speaking and presenting to large groups
Detailed organizational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to think critically, strategically, and execute workplans independently
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Excellent capacity for learning and using new technology and digital tools
Leadership skills and a deep sense of responsibility
Dedication to operating with a high level of integrity and professionalism
Willingness to work during weekends and/or evenings with days off on weekdays
