Job Description

Role Purpose

To ensure all technical activity meets CPP targets in terms of safety, compliance, speed, quality and productivity through enforcement of SOP’s.

To develop technical knowledge and skills for the dyehouse team through the delivery of ColourStitch training

To support end users solving issues related to ColourStitch system.

Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities

Key accountability:

  • To ensure all TACs updated as planned, auto-prescreening percentage and RFT/CQ achieve target.

  • Monitor and ensure colour passed within tolerance, and all colour related complaints are analysed deep dive and provide preventive actions accordingly.

  • To control colour quality well during fibres changing.

  • Proactively resolve issues impact to production.

Common accountability:

  1. Safety and Housekeeping

  • Responsible for team, machine, operation safety aspiring to “Journey to Zero” accident.

  • Ensure all accidents/incidents and near miss are reported in a timely manner.

  • Actively look for areas where safety and housekeeping can be improved.

  • Demonstrate visible leadership of safety through joining and/or doing safety talks to employees.

  1. Quality

  • Analyse all colour related complaints and provide preventive actions.

  • Ensure all spectrophotometers are calibrated frequently as planned.

  • Contract yearly maintenance with Datacolour to maintain all spectrophotometers and card conditioners.

  • Use global reports such as Dyehouse Tier 2 and Global TAC’s reports to drive continuous improvement

  1. Productivity

  • Ensure all related standard operating procedures and work instructions are up to date, trained to relevant employees and followed properly.

  • Measure and meet productivity targets of department such as TACs update as planned, auto-prescreening percentage and RFT/CQ etc…

  • Ensure all recipes are pre-screened quickly and effectively and in accordance with relevant SOPs to reduce leadtimes, increase PPDS adherence and RFT/CQ.

  • Produce analysis of productivity along with proposals for improvement.

  1. People management

  • Ensure internal labour regulations and company policies are understood by subordinates and followed properly.

  • Set up and communicate SMART objectives to the team.

  • Monitor and conduct regular performance review of subordinates.

  • Provide timely feedback and have career conversation (at least every half year) with the team.

Job Requirements

Education, Qualifications and Experience



  • University graduate – preferably chemical function

  • Two year experience in manufacturing environment at management role.

  • Ability to build one team and deliver results

  • Ability to manage and prioritize own workload.

  • Ability to demand quality every time

  • Enable to communicate and share policies to their subordinators

  • Basic facilitating skill (upward and downward & with other departments)

  • Conduct meeting with supervisors and others


  • Good understanding of dyehouse systems: ColourStitch; Sedomaster and Lawer

  • Good technical knowledge of dyeing methods, dyestuffs, auxiliary chemicals and dyeing machine

  • Ability to use Pivot table, fishbone diagram, FMEA...for data analysis

  • Ability to communicate in English.

  • Writing skill
