Job Description
The Quality Director is responsible for all aspect of quality within the facilities and the supply base. Additionally, the candidate will establish strong employee development plans to ensure long term site viability. Furthermore, the candidate directly manages all aspects of spending & budgeting working with cross-functional teams and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Establish ownership of the position and accountability of site quality
2. Globally communicate with quality leaders to ensure:
a. Best-In-Class final products reach Milwaukee’s end users
b. Alignment on resources, planning, and priorities
c. PRC AQE/RE strategic goals are established and detailed plans are implemented
d. Personnel development aligns with industry standards and certifications
3. Lead teams’ workloads, and create individual career development plans to include both short- and long-term goals & corporate objectives
4. Collaborate with factory leadership to:
a. Drive quality mindset & objectives
b. Interact across departments to maintain product quality and respond to process deviations
c. Ensure failures & risks are captured and permanent corrective actions have been implemented through CAR & 8D
d. Ensure daily reviews have a strong quality presence & accountability
5. NPD (New Product Development) project:
a. CTQ development and MSCD reviews for PRC NPD projects
b. Review developmental project reediness and sample quality
c. Provide design input/failure lessons learned to improve product quality
6. Liaising with US & PRC QE on customer complaint on warranty issues
7. Develop a strategic quality roadmap and execution plan
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical,
Materials Engineering or equivalent
• 10 years of related work experience in Quality or Operational
leadership positions
•
Proven leadership
skills within a global environment and the ability to routinely present to
leadership
•
Superb strategic and forward-thinking mindset
•
Complete understanding of Budgeting, Expenses & Capital spending,
and Financial Effectiveness relating to Quality
•
Strong analytical background with
proven abilities to troubleshoot & structure analysis, and a working
knowledge of quality/reliability tools
•
Excellent crisis management
capabilities and the ability to drive event resolution
• Ability to manage multiple complex activities across multiple business
units
• Excellent employee development abilities at multiple levels of the
organization
• Experience in performing reliability testing to include: Mechanical
Stress, Actual Application, Shock/Drop/Vibration, and Environmental testing is
preferred
• Fluent in Vietnamese and English Required
- Prefers for Overseas Vietnameses living and working in US or UL or Expat who has experience in Vietnam over 3-5 years
