Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Architect and develop stable and high available web service
· Lead technical vision in Backend technology trends
· Rapidly build, iterate, test and deploy new features and products
· Maintain a high-quality robust codebase
· Manage and contribute code to large scale projects from inception to completion
· Inspire engineers to explore and learn the latest technologies in the industry
· Willing to learn new technologies e.g. NodeJS, ReactJS, etc.
Job Requirements
· Ideally 5+ years of work experience on Backend to serve large-scale and high-traffic projects
· Minimum 1 year of experience with NodeJS or PHP
· Open-minded, honest and have a positive attitude towards people
· Ability to coach and mentor team members in their professional development and build self-sustaining teams
· Hands on experience working with Backend:
· Languages/frameworks: NodeJS (most preferred), PHP, Golang, Java, Scala or Python
· Cloud service: AWS (most preferred), Google Cloud, Heroku
· Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, CouchDB, Cassandra, ElasticSearch/Solr
· APIs: RESTful
· Ability to work as full stack engineer is a big plus
